Similar to Little Santa Anita Canyon, Bailey is another short canyon with a straightforward approach and lots of rappels. Unlike Little Santa Anita, though, the rappels in Bailey can be somewhat more challenging for beginners, since there are some overhanging rappels and some longer heights (two 70 foot rappels and one 110 foot); they are not technically difficult or awkward, however. There is typically very little water in the canyon, although the rocks can sometimes be slick, creating potential issues scrambling or downclimbing. On the whole, Bailey is a pretty little canyon with some fun rappels and is a nice way to spend a few hours doing technical work without a major time commitment.
