Prasat Neang Khmao is interesting largely because of its color (its name means “Lady in Black); the temple was constructed of laterite, which oxidized, turning the temple a dark blue/black color. The temple is relatively simple – it resembles a stupa and is about 20 meters tall, with a sandstone deck/terrace, and is enclosed by laterite walls.
