This little cavern features 130 m of passageways and is right off the SH 6 in Punakaiki. I honestly have no idea what the cavern really looks like, because we didn’t come here during the day. We walked here at night from Punakaiki Beach Camp because this place is covered in glowworms! The walkways are super easy (you’ll still want a headlamp, though…wandering around in caves in the pitch black isn’t recommended). Next time we’re back in the area we’re going to check it out when we can see more of it, but the glowworms here are really great. And free!
