Love caves? Love crystal clear water? How about swimming in crystal clear water through a pristine cave? Yep. It’s as amazing as it sounds. This recently discovered cave (sometimes called “Tham Nong Paseum” or simply “Paseum Cave”) is an adventure not to be missed (and is the perfect example of what’s waiting to be found in the maze of unexplored karst throughout Laos). Apparently you can do a tour where they’ll take you in a boat through part of the cave. This would be kind of lame in my opinion, because it’s not hard to swim through the cave and then you’ll be able to see the whole thing. But I guess it would be better than nothing. Anyway, the water is a pleasant, cool temperature, and it’s perfectly clear (until you kick up a bunch of silt in the shallower areas); in the deep sections you can see that you’re floating near the top of a massive cave that stretches away beneath you – but don’t worry, the part you can see is chock full of awesome formations too, so you won’t feel like you’re missing out. You will, however, feel like you’ve entered another world that’s so breathtaking it’ll be hard to drag yourself away.
